SPSS (originally, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) was released in its first version in 1968 SPSS is among the most widely used programs for statistical analysis in social science.
Also there were various rules told to us for analysis of data,the rules are:-

      1) As far as possible please have all variables as numeric variables
      2)  3 values for missing will be always:-NA,NAP,DK.

c    Classification of Techniques------->1st level(Freq/Xtabs/OLAP cubes)
                                                               2nd Level

Null Hypothesis in case of cross tabs will be there is no relation between gender and age at which the person gets married first.

If the  no. of the perarson chi square is less than .05 then  there is a significance relation so there is a significance difference and we reject the null hypothesis.

Among all the softwares SPSS is the best among all.
Also 3 measures were introduced..These were:-
1) Nominal-It can be in any order.
2) Ordinal-It is in roder i.e. you give numbers or identities according to the ranks.
3)  Scale

An important note was that all the data should be converted to Numeric type.

We also saw functions of Analyze and transform..
Analyze helps you to analyze the data in various formats eg:-cross tabs,etc.
Transform helps you to transform the data.
Like we saw in the case of sensex example in which we categorized the data in the age of 13-21 and 22-58,which we represented this in numeric form i.e. 1 & 2 respectively.
