Bubble Chart - Team A
A bubble chart is a type of chart that displays three dimensions of data. Each entity with its triplet (v1, v2, v3) of associated data is plotted as a disk that expresses two of the vi values through the disk's xy location and the third through its size. Bubble charts can facilitate the understanding of social, economical, medical, and other scientific relationships.
Bubble charts can be considered a variation of the scatter chart, in which the data points are replaced with bubbles.
The advantage of this chart type is that it lets you compare three variables at once. One is on the x-axis, one is on the y-axis, and the third is represented by area size of bubbles. Have a look at the above chart to see how it looks.
We have plotted the below data:
X-axis – Usages
Y-axis – SMS Bill
Bubble – Monthly Expenditure
Interpretation :
Which player has the maximum monthly expenditure – Reliance,
Maximum SMS Bill – Tata Indicom, BSNL
Higher Usage period – BSNL n Hutch
According to Berman (2007), bubble charts can also be used "in project management to compare the risk and reward among projects. In a chart each project can be represented by a bubble, the axis can represent the net present value and probability of success and the size of the bubble can represent the overall cost of the project".
